100% TENCEL™: clean fades without damage
TENCEL™ garments are delicate during stonewashing and can suffer from cuts, pilling, or surface damage with pumice.
Using HMS Original #0, the wash achieved clean fades while preserving softness and drape.
Why it matters:
HMS can support sensitive cellulosic fibers where traditional pumice may be too harsh.
Lycra® blend wash: abrasion without fiber breakage
High-Lycra denim is difficult to stonewash because elastic fibers can break under physical abrasion.
Using HMS Original #1, both indigo and sulfur-dyed Lycra blend styles achieved visible stonewash effects with no fiber breakage and strong post-wash fabric strength.
Why it matters:
HMS can support strong vintage effects on stretch fabrics without compromising stretch performance or garment durability.
Shirt-weight fabric: clean abrasion on a lighter material
Shirt-weight fabric is traditionally difficult to stonewash because of its thin structure and risk of damage.
Using HMS Original #0, Bossa achieved clean, even abrasion without compromising fabric integrity.
Why it matters:
HMS can support controlled abrasion even on fabrics that are usually considered risky for stonewashing.
Reduced anti-backstaining chemical need (ABS)
HMS can reduce loose indigo redeposition compared with traditional pumice processes. This can lower the need for ABS chemicals and create direct chemical savings for the laundry.

Cleaner abrasion can reduce chemical load, simplify washing, and support lower operating costs.
